Bio
Beginning with a BSc in Ocean Sciences (University of Liverpool) and subsequently specialising with an MSc in Marine Microbiology (Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology & University of Bremen), I am interested in the impact of microbes on biogeochemical cycles. I study how diatom-bacteria interactions impact on the exudation of biomolecules. In particular, I focus on polysaccharides and their potential to sequester carbon.
