I have a B.S in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NITK (India) and M.S and PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am interested in the phenomenological understanding of emergent properties of microbial communities. For my PhD, I studied how high-dimensional environments impact algae-bacteria interactions using a high-throughput microfluidic chip. Now, as a postdoc in Otto Cordero’s lab at MIT, I hope to work on modeling the structural patterns in marine microbial communities that degrade complex organic matter.
